What is an LCSW ?
Jacqueline Oshiver, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker who offers expertise
in individual, couple, family and group psychotherapy with children, adolescents and adults.
She utilizes psychodynamic, systems, solution-focused, and cognitive-behavioral
approaches to the treatment of clinical disorders, and environmental stressors.
Ms. Oshiver believes deeply in a strengths perspective-empowerment
model which views the client holistically. This perspective is combined with a warm,
engaging, and supportive style. Her background includes a B.A. from the University of
Pennsylvania; an M.Ed. from Columbia University, Teachers College; an MSW from Bryn Mawr College,
School of Social Work; post-graduate work in Substance Abuse from Rutgers University,
Smithers School of Alcoholism Studies; post-graduate work in Family Therapy from Philadelphia
Child Guidance Clinic; and psychoanalytic studies in Object Relations from New York University.
Ms. Oshiver is an adjunct professor at several prominent New York City and New
Jersey universities. She is an experienced clinical supervisor and an approved social
work supervisor in New Jersey. In addition to her work at Aroga Ms. Oshiver serves as a Site Director at
Princeton House Behavioral Health, the behavioral health unit of University Medical Center at Princeton.
