Ellen E. Stem holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology and Education from Gettysburg College. In 1996 she received her Master's degree in Counseling from the College of New Jersey, where she graduated with distinction, earning membership in Chi Sigma Iota (Counseling, Academic, and Professional Honor Society International).

At that time she also became an NCC (National Certified Counselor). In 2003, she completed an EdS in Marriage and Family Counseling at The College of New Jersey. She has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2002.

Ms. Stem has worked as a school counselor since 1994 and in part-time private practice as a psychotherapist since 2002. She specializes in Marriage and Family Counseling, Bereavement, and Addictions. Her practice includes adults, couples, and children.
